Note to Reader: Normally I will time stamp the important discussions in videos, in case the video disappears. This is an important interview for Vets who follow us, so I’m going to do that later as I feel the need to get this out there now. I will list some of the articles I’ve written about Veterans’ issues below. I am a US Army Veteran (Reagan-Bush 41 Era) and I’m diagnosed with nonspecific depressive disorder by my VA Psychologist in 2017. In 2019, I was in a program called Compensated Work Therapy (CWT) at the VA-Minneapolis. It’s job to find a job. I wasn’t technically an employee. I worked in the Logistic Tool Room, which was like a hardware store for the maintenance shops. So I know personally about 80% of the maintenance staff there. Since 2018 I’ve been a SNAP recipient, and since Spring 2020 I’ve been on a program called HUD-VASH which is basically Section 8 for Vets.
I have a lot of issues surrounding the VA, and how it’s run. Mostly the medical side of it is pretty good. The administrative side can be a nightmare as you’ll see below in the article with the word “Labyrinth” in the title (I need to do an update of it as there is some damning behavior from Rep Betty McCollum involved). I also posted an article about the DAV rides to and from the VA and I sent that article to Fred Melo who made the article get more attention. I’m working on one now about the addition of a Women Vet’s Clinic. Most of the Patients in the VA are men and while there are some Women Vets who get their needs met, there really isn’t more Woman focused facilities until now.

Saintpaulrepublicans.us is posting this as a courtesy and we do not get compensated for posting it. I didn’t need to list all my mental issues here, but following Shawn’s lead on this I thought if I list my depression here then other Vets like me will realize it’s okay to admit you’re vulnerable and seek out help. ~~ Publius Jr
